Lead singer and guitar player Chuck Justice brings a valuable song writing and vocal skill to the group. Weaving words with unique patterns of chord progressions, Chucks compositions give the band some of its most memorable and favored tunes.

Acoustic/electric lead guitarist/vocalist Johnny Tarver is a special part of the bands sound. His background is diverse. Having grown up with a heavy bluegrass influence, he also carries much experience with both southern rock and country genres. Johnny’s lead and harmony vocals round out the bands ability to perform those tight 3 and 4 part harmonies.

Fiddle player Chad Bekarian joined with the band in early 2016. At 17 years old Chad is a very talented instrumentalist, playing not only violin but mandolin, guitar and a host of other instruments. Chad is from Dallas, TX and is one of the regions top young Texas fiddle players.

As the original member of the Santa Fe Line, Joel Scarbrough is the bands utility man. Having performed with the likes of Bill Monroe and other bluegrass music icons, Joel has spent the majority of his career in traditional bluegrass music. After relocating to the state of Texas in 1988, he was persistent in the pursuit of other band members who shared his idea of this type of music. After trying out several different configurations of this Newgrass/Americana/Progressive Roots sound, in 2010 he became the original co-founder of this band known as The Santa Fe Line. He primarily plays 5 string banjo and mandolin. He also plays some dobro as featured on the new album “The Cowtown Sessions.”
